Rockville, street by street

Rockville is not one kind of place, and neither are its locks. Lincoln Park and the West End are full of older single-family houses where the original hardware is still on the door and the strike plate has been painted over four times. Twinbrook is mid-century Cape Cods and ramblers, most of them on their second or third front door by now. King Farm and Fallsgrove went up in the 2000s, so those doors arrived with builder-grade cylinders that people tend to upgrade once they have lived with them for a winter. Woodley Gardens, College Gardens, Hungerford, New Mark Commons and Rockshire each sit somewhere in between.

The commercial spine is Rockville Pike, which runs the length of the city, and the streets around Rockville Town Square and Maryland Avenue, where offices sit above ground-floor retail. Out along Veirs Mill Road and towards Southlawn Lane the buildings change again — smaller industrial and trade units with heavier commercial hardware on the doors.

Where the calls come from

Residential work covers the whole spread above: lockouts and lock changes in the older neighbourhoods, where doors have settled and hardware has aged, and upgrades in King Farm and Fallsgrove, where the builder-grade cylinders are now two decades old. Commercial calls follow the Pike — storefronts, restaurant back doors, medical suites, and the office buildings clustered near the Metro, where a master key system usually makes more sense than a bag of separate keys. The automotive side follows the parking: Rockville and Twinbrook Metro stations, the Montgomery College campus lots, Congressional Plaza and the Pike shopping centres are all places people discover their keys are on the seat, or that the only key they own has stopped working.

This is home

A1 Super Locksmith Services has worked out of Rockville since 2012. That matters for a practical reason rather than a marketing one: search "locksmith near me" in Rockville and much of what comes back is a national call centre selling your job on to whoever bids for it, with nobody local behind the number. Our vans start the day here, so Rockville calls are the shortest run we make — and the person who answers the phone is the one who sends them.

Beyond the city line

Rockville is one of the towns we cover from our Rockville base. Whichever of them you are calling from, the same things hold:

  • Keys cut and programmed at your door, in the van
  • Traditional cylinders and smart locks alike
  • Non-destructive entry attempted first, always
  • The price is agreed before the work starts

Questions

Locksmith questions, Rockville

Are you actually based in Rockville?
Yes. We are a mobile locksmith based in Rockville and working the city every day — not a national dispatch number routing your job to whoever happens to bid. We come to you, so there is no counter to visit.
Which parts of Rockville do you cover?
All of it — Twinbrook, King Farm, Fallsgrove, Lincoln Park, Woodley Gardens, College Gardens, Hungerford, New Mark Commons, Rockshire, the West End and the Town Center. If you are unsure whether your street counts as Rockville, give the address on the phone and we will tell you.
Do you work at night and at weekends in Rockville?
Emergency work runs 24/7. Lockouts do not keep office hours, so the emergency line is answered outside them.
Can you cut a car key in a Rockville parking lot?
Usually, yes — the work is done where the vehicle is rather than requiring a tow. With no key left to copy from, the new key is cut to the vehicle and then programmed to it. Have the make, model and year ready when you call.

Locked out in Rockville?

Call and describe what is locked — that is the whole first step. If it can wait until working hours, book a visit instead and pick a time.
